Day 1 Arrive at Nainital

 Arrive at Nainital by afternoon / late evening. Nainital (6500+ ft asl) is a renowned lakeside Hill station in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. 

Day 2 Nainital and around Visit Naina Devi temple & Hanuman Garhi temple

Nainital and around Visit Naina Devi temple & Hanuman Garhi temple. Enjoy boat ride at Naini Lake and / OR take a cable car ride to visit snow viewpoint. Enjoy walk on the mall in evening. 

Day 3 Depart for Kausani

Depart for Kausani (112 kms - 4 hrs). Kausani (6500+ ft asl) is a Himalayan hamlet and is renowned for its panoramic Himalayan views. Enroute guests can visit Jageshwar Shiva Temple complex (requires 30 kms one way detour). Jageshwar is believed to be the site of first of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The temple city comprises a cluster of 124 large and small stone temples, dating 9th to 13th century AD, with many preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). 

Day 4  Depart to Chakouri

 Depart to Chakouri (7000+ ft asl, 110 kms - 4.5 hrs) and a Himalayan hamlet renowned for its Himalayan views (Oct - March). Enroute visit Bageshwar (Ancient temple complex), Berinag (12 kms from Chaukori), a viewpoint for Panchachuli and Nandadevi ranges and home to a Berinag Nag Mandir (Temple dedicated to snake god).

Day 5 Day visit to Patal Bhubaneshwar

Day visit to Patal Bhubaneshwar (36 kms, 1.5 hour one-way). Patal Bhubaneshwar is a cave temple. It is believed that underground cave enshrines Lord Shiva and thirty-three  crore  Gods. The cave is 160 m long and 90 feet deep from the point of entrance. Limestone rock formations have created various spectacular stalactite and stalagmite figures. This cave has a narrow tunnel-like opening which leads to a number of caves. It is one-of-a-kind experiences in India. 

Day 6 Depart for Munsiyari

 Depart for Munsiyari (6000+ ft asl, 127 kms - 4.5 hrs). Munsiyari is a Himalayan destination in remote upper Kumaon area and renowned for close range Himalayan views. Munsiyari is also a base point for many walks and treks around the area. Enroute visit Birthi Falls (35 kms before Munsiyari). Reach Munsiyari by evening. 

Day 7 Munsiyari Visit Nanda devi temple

Munsiyari Visit Nanda devi temple (3 kms from Munsiyari). Undertake Walks / short treks around the area to spots like Masar Kund, Balati farm or just walk around to enjoy remote Himalayan beauty of the area. 

Day 8Proceed to Almora

Proceed to Almora (6500+ ft asl, 200 kms - 8 hours). Stopover for the day.

Day 9 Depart from Almora and proceed to Kathgodam

Depart from Almora and proceed to Kathgodam (nearest railway station - 110 kms - 3 hours) or Delhi (400 kms - 9 hours).
